Semolina Halva

Semolina halva cooked and served in Middle East countries with different versions. Usually it’s made with semolina, sugar, milk, butter and pine nuts. But you can add nuts, walnuts, raisins and dried fruit too. It will be delicious if you serve it with ice cream.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup semolina
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4-5 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups milk (or half milk, half water)
  • Vanilla extract (just a little bit)
  • Pine nuts

GNOCCHI WITH PEAR AND BLUE CHEESE

After our trip to Italy, a recipe caught my mind. Spinach gnocchi with pear and blue cheese. I met this recipe by mistake. I ordered Ravioli but when the waiter brought my order, here there was gnocchi! I wanted to try it and after I asked for the recipe. =)

Beet Salad - Kırmızı Pancar Salatası

I decided to use fresh beetroots which are leftovers from the other day, as a salad. I used the classical salad dressing on it and the result was perfect! It’ll be delicious as a side dish.

For cooking beetroots: boil the beetroots until they have become soft but don’t peel its skin to preserve its color.

Herb Roasted Chicken - Fırında Taze Baharatlı (Otlu) Tavuk

Influence of the curiosity about cooking, I decided to cook Roasted Chicken for new year’s eve. I prefer chicken over turkey because turkey is too oily for me and in our country it’s not a common food. So I began my research to find perfect Roasted Chicken recipe for us. After watching and reading lots of recipes, I decided to cook Jamie Oliver’s Roasted Chicken with Herbs. It was so scrumptious! =) And this is the recipe:
